In the process of distributing box in a plant where it is necessary to identify assortments, e.g. meat or bread, we use two methods of marking.
- RFID - radio frequency identification
- Barcode
They are extremely important when using ERP systems.
Marked assortments, using one of methods, can be managed in any way by placing the readers in appropriate places, e.g. at storage exits or on appropriate turnouts or switches. Marking combined with the appropriate equipment configuration of the line allows to meet the most sophisticated needs of customers, i.e. sending selected assortments where the demand is generated.
Advantages and possible applications:
- RFID - it is more stable to read, but only used in a closed loop;
- Employee work analysis;
- Yield analysis from a given line;
- Loss analysis;
- Control of working time and losses of boxes;
- Automatic targeting of the box to the individual parts of production;
- Automatic stacking of boxes in batches for shipment;
- Minimizing human service to the necessary minimum.
